Northwest Aroostook is an unorganized territory in Aroostook County, Maine, United States. The population was 12 at the 2020 census.[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the unorganized territory has a total area of 6913.2sqkm, of which 6810.1sqkm is land and 103.2sqkm, or 1.49%, is water.[2]
There are 70 townships within the unorganized territory, plus part of one that is shared with Square Lake. The northernmost point of Maine, Big Twenty Township, is located in Northwest Aroostook.
As of the 2000 census,[3] there were 27 people, 12 households, and 5 families living in the unorganized territory. The population density was 0sp=usNaNsp=us. There were 313 housing units at an average density of 0.1sp=usNaNsp=us. The racial makeup was 96.30% White and 3.70% Black or African American. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 3.70% of the population.
