Gynoxys Explained

Gynoxys is a genus of South American flowering plants in the family Asteraceae.[1]

    Recent phylogenomic and morphological studies found the species of the former genus Nordenstamia were nested within Gynoxys, and Nordenstamia has now been subsumed into Gynoxys.[2]
