Noel Futkeu (born 6 December 2004) is a German footballer who plays as a striker for club SpVgg Greuther Fürth.[1]
Futkeu is a native of Essen, Germany.[2]
Futkeu started his career with German side Rot-Weiss Essen. He debuted for the club at the age of seventeen in January 2020.[3] In 2021, he signed for German side 1. FC Köln II. He suffered a muscle injury while playing for the club.[3] In 2022, he signed for German side Schwarz-Weiß Essen. He was regarded as one of the club's most important players.[4] In 2023, he signed for German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, where he was initially earmarked for a place in the club's reserve team.[5]
On 17 May 2024, German 2. Bundesliga club SpVgg Greuther Fürth confirmed that they had signed Futkeu ahead of the 2024-25 season. However, the club did not announce how long a contract he had signed, other than that it was a 'long-term contract'.[6]
Futkeu mainly operates as a striker. He is known for his speed and dribbiling ability.[7]
Futkeu is of Cameroonian descent.[2]
