Nitin Agarwal (born 27 July 1966) is an 1989 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Kerala cadre and served as the 31st Director General of the Border Security Force of India since 12 June 2023 till 31 July 2024.[1] [2] [3]
Agarwal was born in the year 1966 in Delhi, India.
Aggarwal previously holds many important position in central governments 's agencies in his service and served as Additional Director General of Operations at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) headquarters in Delhi.[4]
Apart from working in various departments in Kerala, Nitin Agarwal has also headed the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).[5] [6]
Agarwal has completed his master's degree in B.Tech in civil engineering from Indian Institutions of Technology (Delhi) in year 1983 to 1987 and M.Tech from IIT Delhi in year 1987 to 1989 and agarwal also gain degree of M.Phil in social Science from Panjab University.[7]
