Nir District (fa|بخش نیر) is in Taft County, Yazd province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Nir.[2]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Garizat and Kahduiyeh Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of Garizat District.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 14,531 in 4,417 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 7,178 people in 2,470 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,625 inhabitants in 2,517 households.[6]
