Nikko Remigio (born November 4, 1999) is an American professional football wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at California and Fresno State.

Early life

Remigio grew up in Orange, California and attended Mater Dei High School. In Remigio's three years on varsity he caught 111 passes for 1,695 yards, and 19 touchdowns.[1] On June 16, 2017, Remigio committed to play college football at California over other schools such as USC, and Wisconsin.[2] [3]

College career

Remigio played for four years at California. In those four years he made 97 receptions for 903 yards, and 13 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 14 times for 75 yards. To add on he had 983 return yards and a kickoff return touchdown.[4] Remigio's best season came during 2019 where he played in 10 games, hauling in 38 passes for 513 yards, and three touchdowns. He also rushed for eight yards on three carries.[5] After the conclusion of the 2021 season Remigio annonunced he would enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.[6] He would later decide to transfer to Fresno State in 2022.[7] [8] In his lone season at Fresno State, Remigio put up 74 catches for 852 yards and six touchdowns, he would also rush for 42 yards, and two touchdowns, on six carries. Additionally he was a dynamic punt returner, returning 13 punts for 259 yards, and two touchdowns.[9] For his performance on the year he was named to the All-Mountain West Second-Team as a wide receiver and as a punt returner.[10]

Professional career

After not being selected in the 2023 NFL draft, Remigio would sign with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.[11] [12] He was waived/injured on August 29, 2023 and placed on injured reserve.[13] The Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers.[14]
