Netarhat is a hill station in Latehar district[1] in the Indian state of Jharkhand.[2] It is also referred to as the "Queen of Chotanagpur", and is a hill station.[3] The hill station is the among the highest points of the Chhotanagpur plateau. The natural beauty of the place is simply splendid. Netarhat is especially known for its stunning views of sunrise and sunset and is popularly known as the Queen of Chhotanagpur. Netarhat comes under the tag of lesser known tourist places. Being lesser known works wonders for its visitors, the most beautiful part about Netarhat is its rawness, there is a beauty in its austerity, in just standing at a height and looking at the far spread lush jungles.
Netarhat is located at a height of .[4] It is a plateau covered with thick forest.[3] Located in the Pat region of Chota Nagpur Plateau, Netarhat plateau is about long and broad. It consists of crystalline rocks and has a summit capped with sandstone trap or laterite. Region of Netarhat is covered with Sal, Kendu, Mahua and Eucalyptus.

Netarhat Vidyalaya is a residential public school set up in 1954.[7] It sits on over 780 acres.There is another academy of police training college located in Jharkhand police named as Jungle Warfare School, or JWFS in short.There is one more school the ST Xavier's Boarding school.
