Nedu Wazobia (born 5 August 1982), born Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, is a Nigerian on-air personality, broadcast journalist, TV presenter, actor, comedian, and content creator. He is known for his Pidgin English rendition of the daily news on Wazobia FM 94.1 in Lagos.
Nedu Wazobia was born in Kaduna, Nigeria. He studied accounting at Madonna University in Elele Okija, Anambra State. He then participated in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, where he worked as an on-air personality at a radio station in Jigawa. He later returned to Abuja to work as a site manager, a period he described as unfulfilling. After two years in that role, he moved to Lagos to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a broadcaster and entertainer.
Nedu is known for his alter-ego personalities, including Sister Nkechi, Alhaji Musa, EndTime Landlord, and Officer Jato.[1] As of the writing of this article, he has amassed a following of over 1.3 million on Instagram.
Nedu married Uzoamaka Ohiri in 2013, but their marriage ended in 2018. The couple has three children together.
