Naiad Lake (bg|езеро Наяда|ezero Nayada, pronounced as /bg/) is the roughly rectangular 230m (760feet) in south-north direction and 150m (490feet) lake on President Beaches, Byers Peninsula on Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. It has a surface area of 2.98ha, and is separated from Osogovo Bay waters by a 12to strip of land.[1] The area was visited by early 19th century sealers.[2]
The feature is named after the Naiads, nymphs of springs, streams, rivers, and lakes in Greek mythology.[1]
Naiad Lake is situated on the southwest side of Laager Point and centred at -62.6404°N -61.1428°W, which is 1.40NaN0 north-northeast of Point Smellie. Detailed Spanish mapping in 1992, and Bulgarian mapping in 2009 and 2017.
