NGC 5626 is a lenticular galaxy in the constellation of Hydra. Its velocity with respect to the cosmic microwave background is 7,120 ± 20km/s, which corresponds to a Hubble distance of 105.0 ± 7.4Mpc (∼342million light-years). It was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel on 30 March 1835.

One supernova has been observed in NGC5626: SN2023kyb (type Ia, mag.17.7).[2]
