Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women is a 1979 television film directed by Joseph Pevney.

It originally aired on CBS on December 1, 1979.[1] [2] It was produced by Alan Landsburg Productions.[3]

Plot

In the prologue it is explained that the women were part of an all female Catholic orphanage in French Indochina. After the fall of the country to the communists in 1954, they boarded a plane to safety with a single nun and crash landed on the island during a storm. Twenty five years later a plane full of men encounter the women after their plane is also brought down in an electrical storm.

The men learn that the oldest girl Lizabeth became the mother figure to the other girls and claimed she received orders from "sister" - a nun who died in the crash and whose body remains in the wreckage of their plane. The women sometimes encounter a tribe of "head-choppers", usually as adversaries, but sometimes as lovers, as at least two times they have impregnated one of the women. However, only the female baby was allowed to survive.
