Motutara Rock (Twins Rock) is a small island with two stacks in the Bay of Islands of New Zealand, located about northeast of Russell.^{[1] [2]} These rocks are sometimes referred to as The Sisters.^[3]

Etymology

In Māori, 'motu' means island^[4] and 'tara' is a peak or point.^[5]
