Moradeun Ogunlana is a Nigerian US-Based author[1] and the UN Ambassador for Peace. She is the founder of the Africa Women Health project.[2] Ogunlana is the 2022 recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the office of the president of the United States of America, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.[3]

Early life and education

Ogunlana was born in 1970 in Lagos, Nigeria. She is descended from one of the oldest royal family lines in Lagos. She is the granddaughter of His Royal Majesty, David Ajasa Ogunlana, the Obanikoro of Lagos, and the great-granddaughter of the ninth ruling King of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Liyangu Owabagbe Adenuga.

Ogunlana graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) in 1991 with a BA in journalism. She acquired a Master's in International Consulting and Public Health Policy from Southern California University for Professional Studies and Liberty University in Virginia. In 2016, she was conferred an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Humanities and Humane Letters from CICA International University and Seminary.[4] [5]
