• Opah, genus Lampris
• Genus Citharinus, especially Citharinus citharus
• Genus Mene
  • Mene maculata, only extant member of the genus
• Selene (fish)
• Atlantic spadefish (Chaetodipterus faber)
• Cusk (fish)
• Southern platyfish

Other uses:

• Moonfish (pilot), call sign of a squadron commander in the Ukrainian Air Force
