Mohammadabad (fa|محمداباد) is a village in Atrak Rural District of the Central District of Maneh County, North Khorasan province, Iran. It became the capital of Atrak Rural District after transfer from the village of Pish Qaleh[2] (now a city), and the capital has now been transferred once again to the village of Bazareh-ye Qarnas.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,135 in 593 households, when it was in the former Maneh District of Maneh and Samalqan County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,531 people in 756 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,267 people in 735 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[6]

In 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Maneh County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[7]
