Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini (Arabic: محمد بن هادي الحسيني; born (1976)[1] is a member of the UAE Cabinet, serving as Minister of State for Financial Affairs since September 25, 2021.[2] [3]

Education

He earned a Master's degree in International Business Administration from Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland.[4]

Career

Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini is the Minister of State for Financial Affairs.  He is responsible for the achievement of the Ministry’s strategic objectives and serving the interests of the UAE at local and international levels. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in several economic sectors, including finance, insurance, real estate, telecommunications, and retail. Alongside his ministerial work, he serves as the Chairman of Al Etihad Credit Information Company,[5] Deputy Chairman of the Federal Tax Authority Board,[6] [7] and a member of Dubai Government Investments Corporation[8] and the board of directors of the Emirates Investment Authority.[9] He also serves on the board of directors of Emirates NBD Bank since June 2011,[10] Emirates Islamic Bank,[11] and Emaar Malls between December 2017 and September 2021.[12] [13]

Al Hussaini was elected as the President of the Development Committee of the World Bank Group on October 15, 2022.[14]

He also chaired the Board of the General Pension and Social Security Authority, and the board of directors of Du Telecom between March 2018 and September 2021,[15] and Emirates Telecommunications Corporation,[16] and was a member of Maroc Telecom from May 2014 to October 2021,[17] [18] and Mobily from February 2015 to September 2021,[19] [20] and Dubai Refreshments,[21] and DenizBank in Turkey.[22] [23]

During his membership term at these corporations, he participated actively in several board committees where he led many notable mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions.
