Masjid-e-Iranian, known locally as the Moghal Masjid, Mumbai is a Shia mosque in the Dongri locality of Mumbai.[1]
It was built in 1860 by Haji Mohammed Husain Shirazi, a prominent Iranian businessman who had moved to Mumbai.[2]
The mosque was restored in the 1990s by Reza Kabul.[3] [4]
The mosque is built in an Iranian style.
The exterior is embellished with coloured tiles. The carpets and chandeliers present in the mosque interior have been imported from Iran. Verses from the Quran are inscribed on the walls.
The mosque is managed by the Haji Mohammed Husain Shirazi trust.
