Mocanaqua is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Conyngham Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 646 at the 2010 census.[4]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.4km2, of which 1.3sqkm is land and 0.1sqkm, or 9.55%, is water.[5] It is located on the east bank of the Susquehanna River along PA 239, which crosses the river and links Mocanaqua to the borough of Shickshinny.
Students attend the Greater Nanticoke Area School District.
