Mistress Dispeller is an upcoming American-Chinese documentary film, directed and produced by Elizabeth Lo. It follows a woman in China who hires a professional to go undercover and break up her husband's affair.

It will have its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2024, in the Orizzonti section.

Premise

A woman in China hires a professional "mistress dispeller" to break up her husband's affair.

Production

In September 2022, it was announced Elizabeth Lo would direct a documentary film revolving around Mistress Dispellers, with Anonymous Content and Impact Partners set to finance and produce.[2] The Concordia Studio Fellowship, Field of Vision, and One in a Billion Productions provided additional support for the film.[3] [4]

Release

It will have its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2024, in the Orizzonti section.[5]
