Miss Vibhaa (sa|vibhaa|bright[1]) (Nepali: मिस विभा) is a Nepalese annual beauty pageant found by Umanga Creation in 2020 and rebranded in 2024, with Uddhab Adhikari as the chairman. This is an umbrella pageant that selects Nepalese delegates for other international pageants.
Umanga Creations organized Miss Universe Nepal from 2020 until 2023 when it withdrew the Miss Universe Franchise. Umanga Creations then acquired the license for Miss Grand International and later, Miss Cosmo. It then rebranded its annual pageant as Miss Vibhaa. Miss Vibhaa is an umbrella pageant that organizes collective contest for selecting Nepalese delegates for its officially licensed franchises.[2] Although, the term Miss Vibhaa was first used in 2024, Umanga Creation considers it as the rebranded continuation of its annual pageant, formerly called Miss Universe Nepal (2020-2023). The rebranding was done to affiliate with other global franchise and indicate the separation from Miss Universe after Umanga Creation discontinued the license. [3]
The actual contest of Miss Vibhaa begins with a press conference to announce registration period that lasts for a month. Contestants can register themselves virtually, via apps assigned by Miss Vibhaa Organization or the Umanga Creation Website. [10] After the registration ends, the quarter finalists or qualifiers are announced on social media platforms of Miss Vibhaa, based on the credentials on application form. The qualifiers may be 60-100 in number, then they are required to perform in Task-1: Q/A round, and Task-2: Swimsuit Round, which are conducted virtually and live streamed on YouTube. [11]
Then, the qualifiers are reduced to semi-finalists (Top 30 or more) based on their performance in the two tasks. The semi-finalists are again reduced to finalists (normally 15 to 22), based on internal evaluation. The finalists are introduced to public in a 'Press Presentation' segment where the finalists give an introductory speech.[12] The Press Presentation may be accompanied with Sash Ceremony or Crown Unveiling or any sponsor event as required.[13] After the press presentation, the finalists undergo a closed camp where they are trained on walk, communication skills, social impact projects, etiquette and stage presence. The finalists also perform in Swimsuit Competition and Closed Door Interviews as a part of preliminary competition. [14]
At the Grand Finale, Top 10 is selected based on the preliminary competition and public votes. The Top 10 performs in several runway walk round, speech rounds before getting reduced to Top 5. The Top 5 debates on a common question based on which the winner of Miss Vibhaa is announced. The winner is designated to represent Nepal in an international pageant as assigned by Miss Vibhaa selection committee. The runners up are also given chance to represent at other international pageants as announced by Miss Vibhaa organization. The format can be modified or revamped by the organizer according to the need of time.[15]

Currently, Miss Vibhaa (Umanga Creation) is assigned to send delegates to Miss Grand International and Miss Cosmo. Miss Grand Nepal officially began from 2013, the delegates from 2013 to 2022 were selected by other organizers[22] [23] and Umanga Creation got Miss Grand license in 2023[24] . In early 2024, Umanga Creation also obtained the license of Miss Cosmo. To accommodate all the global franchises under a single national contest, Umanga Creation introduced the umbrella pageant named Miss Vibhaa. [25]

Miss Universe Nepal was conducted by The Hidden Treasure Org. for 2017-2019.[28] In 2020, Umanga Creation introduced a standalone 'Miss Universe Nepal' pageant and selected the titleholders from 2020 to 2023[29] , when it withdrew from Miss Universe franchise. To create a distinct identity, Umanga Creation rebranded its pageant as Miss Vibhaa and retroactively renamed its former 'Miss Universe Nepal 2020-2023' pageants as 'Miss Vibhaa'. Since 2024, Global Glamour Venture organizes its independent Miss Universe Nepal pageant.[30]
