Chiuza (hu|Középfalva) is a commune in Bistrița-Năsăud County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Chiuza, Mireș (Diófás), Piatra (Kőfarka), and Săsarm (Szészárma).
The commune is situated on the Transylvanian Plateau, at an altitude of, on the banks of the Someșul Mare River.
According to statistics from 1760–1762, Piatra village had 58 families, three priests, and a church.[1] At the 2021 census, Chiuza commune had a population of 2,067; of those, 93.95% were Romanians and 1.06% Roma.[2]
