Mioko is a populated island in the Duke of York Islands archipelago in Papua New Guinea.[1] Located in East New Britain Province, in the east of the country, about 800km (500miles) north of Port Moresby.

Geography

The land of Mioko Island is generally flat with the highest point being 33m (108feet) above sea level. The island is about 1.3km (00.8miles) from north to south and 1.9km (01.2miles) east to west with an area of about 1.3km2.
