Minuscule 687 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε1124 (von Soden),[1] [2] is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Palaeographically it has been assigned to the 11th century. The manuscript has survived in a fragmentary condition.[3] [4] Scrivener labelled it by 579e.[5]
The codex contains fragments of the Gospel of Matthew, on 7 parchment leaves (size).[1] [3] The text is written in two columns per page, 29 lines per page.[3] [6]
The text is divided according to the Greek, Ancient (to 1453);: κεφαλαια (chapters), which numbers are given at the left margin of the text, and their Greek, Ancient (to 1453);: τιτλοι (titles) at the top of the page. There is also a division into smaller sections, the Ammonian Sections, with a references to the Eusebian Canons. Lectionary markings were added by a later hand.[5] [6]

Scrivener and Gregory dated the manuscript to the 11th century.[6] Currently the manuscript is dated by the INTF to the 11th century.[4]
The manuscript once belonged to the Butler collection.[5]
It was added to the list of New Testament manuscript by Scrivener (579) and Gregory (687).[5]
