The Ministry of Environment, Water and Climate is a government ministry, responsible for water resources management, rural development, climate and environment in Zimbabwe. The incumbent Minister is Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu.[1] The Ministry oversees:
The Zimbabwe National Water Authority is a state-owned company, which was formed in 2000 guided by the terms of the ZINWA Act (Chapter 20:25). ZINWA falls under the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement.[2]
Environmental Management Agency (EMA) is a statutory body responsible for ensuring the sustainable utilization of natural resources and protection of the environmental degradation. It is a parastatal under the Ministry of Environment, Water and Climate. [3]
EMA was established under the Environmental Management Act (Chapter 20:27) of 2002. The Act was operationalized on 17 March 2003 through the statutory Instrument 103 of 2003.
