Mikey Lewis (born 4 July 2001) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a, or for Hull Kingston Rovers in the Super League and for England at international level.
Lewis made his début for Hull Kingston Rovers against the Wigan Warriors in round 25 of the 2019 season, in a 36-18 defeat at the DW Stadium.[3]
Lewis spent time on loan at Newcastle Thunder in 2019, Lewis made 7 appearances in total, scoring 7 tries and adding 15 successful goals.
In 2020, Lewis made 8 appearances in total for Hull KR, scoring 2 tries and adding 5 successful goals.
On 12 May, it was reported that Lewis had signed to play for the York City Knights in the RFL Championship on a loan basis.[4]
Lewis played for the York City Knights in the RFL 1895 Cup final at Wembley Stadium, in a 41-34 defeat against the Featherstone Rovers.[5]
Lewis made a total of 12 appearances for Hull KR in 2021, including in the club's 28-10 Super League play-off semi-final loss against the Catalans Dragons.[6]
Before the start of the semi-final, Phil Clarke compared Lewis' 2021 season to that of Benji Marshall's 2005 season with the Wests Tigers.[7]
In round 18, Lewis scored a hat-trick for Hull KR in their 34-28 defeat against arch-rivals Hull F.C. at the Magic Weekend.[8]
In round 9, Lewis scored two tries for Hull KR in a 26-14 victory over St Helens, the clubs first win over the Saints since 2015.[9]
On 21 April, Lewis made his 50th appearance for Hull KR in a 7-12 victory over the Castleford Tigers at The Jungle (Wheldon Road).
On 23 July, Lewis played in the Challenge Cup semi-final for Hull KR, Lewis' side recorded a famous 11-10 victory over the Wigan Warriors, due to a Brad Schneider 40 meter field goal in Golden point extra time.[10]
On 12 August, Lewis played for Hull KR in their 16-17 golden point extra time loss to the Leigh Leopards in the 2023 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium.[11]
In round 23, Lewis scored two tries for Hull KR in their 52-10 victory over the Leigh Leopards in a Challenge Cup final rematch two weeks later.[12]
On 22 September, in the last game of the regular season, Lewis played in Hull KR's 12-56 triumph over Wakefield Trinity. Securing said victory, would mean that Lewis helped Hull KR finish in fourth position overall after 27 rounds.[13]
On 29 September, Lewis played in Hull KR's Super League play-off eliminator against the Leigh Leopards, securing a 20-6 success.[14]
On 7 October, Lewis played for Hull KR in the Super League play-off semi-final, losing to the Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium.[15]
Lewis made his senior England début against Tonga in the first test of the 2023 series on 22 October 2023, scoring a try and winning Player of the match.[16]
