Mihara Yasuhiro (みはら やすひろ, born June 1972) is a Japanese fashion designer who founded his own fashion brand, Maison Mihara Yasuhiro (MMY). The brand specializes in footwear.
Yasuhiro was born in June 1972 in Nagasaki, Japan.
Yasuhiro launched his first brand, archi doom in 1996.[1] Later on he introduced a label called SOSU MIHARA YASUHIRO.[2]
His own collection of shoes labelled "PUMA by MIHARA YASUHIRO" debuted in 2000 in Japan. Yasuhiro spent two years working on Puma sneaker shoes, releasing his adapted versions in 2000.[3] [4]
Yasuhiro is married to internationally renowned jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara.[5]
Born in 1972 Nagasaki, Japan, he entered the textile undergraduate program of Tama Art Design Department in 1993. The next year, Mihara started self-study of making shoes.Two years later, in 1996, he launched his own shop “archi doom” supported by some shoe manufacturers. After Mihara graduated in 1997, he renamed “archi doom” “MIHARAYASUHIRO” and started to present collections.[6]
