The aircraft features a strut-braced parasol wing, a two-seats-in-side-by-side configuration open or optionally enclosed cockpit, cruciform tail, fixed tricycle landing gear with wheel pants and a small tail skid, and a single engine in pusher configuration.
The aircraft is made from aluminum tubing and composites, with its flying surfaces covered in doped aircraft fabric. Its 10.31NaN1 span wing mounts flaps and has a wing area of 16.48m2. The wing is supported by "V" struts, jury struts and cabane struts. The acceptable power range is 50to and the standard engines used are the 500NaN0 Rotax 503, 640NaN0 Rotax 582 or the 740NaN0 Rotax 618 powerplant.
The aircraft has a typical empty weight of 220kg (490lb) and a gross weight of 445kg (981lb), giving a useful load of 225kg (496lb). With full fuel of the payload for the pilot, passenger and baggage is 179kg (395lb).
The manufacturer estimated the construction time from the supplied kit as 250 hours.
By 1998 the company reported that 250 aircraft were completed and flying.
Even though the aircraft was marketed in the United States, by January 2014 no examples were registered with the Federal Aviation Administration.[2]
