Michael Shaeffer (born 21 January 1975) is an English actor, known for his roles as "Longcross" in the BBC political-thriller television series Bodyguard (2018),[1] Sergeant Yelland in the BBC mystery thriller The ABC Murders (2018)[2] and Stephen Kemp in the BBC fact-based drama The Salisbury Poisonings (2020).[3]

In Summer 2023, Shaeffer was cast in ‘Grenfell’, author and playwright Gillian Slovo’s verbatim theatre project with the community and survivors about the fire disaster, staged at the National Theatre, London’s Dorfman Theatre.
