MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation (MCT), a subsidiary of MiTAC Holdings Corporation, is a leading IT solutions provider with over four decades of experience. MiTAC Holdings Corporation was established on September 12, 2013, through a stock swap from MiTAC International Corp. Concurrently, the MiTAC Group was restructured to align with future operational goals. On September 1, 2014, the Group separated the cloud computing business to form MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation (MCT).
MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation focuses on cloud database and computing equipment. With more than twenty years of experience in the ODM industry and TYAN brand, MiTAC designs and manufactures servers using Intel x86, SPARC, IBM Power ISA, and ARM processors.[1]
In January 2015, Avnet Embedded, a division of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, has signed a new distribution agreement with MiTAC Computing Technology Corp. to distribute its cloud database and computing equipment.[2]
History
- 1982: MiTAC International Corp. founded.
- 1985: Launch of the MiTAC brand PC.
- 1993: MiTAC Shunde factory in China commenced operations.
- 1996: Development of the Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) model.
- 1999: Investment in leading server brand TYAN.
- 2000: Established MiTAC Computer (Shanghai) Ltd., MiTAC Computer (Kunshan) Ltd., and MiTAC Research (Shanghai) Ltd.
- 2007: Merger with TYAN company.
- 2010: Established MiTAC Information Systems Corp. for system integration and assembly in North America.
