Mewaram Jain (born 7 June 1953) is an Indian politician from Barmer, Rajasthan.^[4] He was born in a Jain family of Baleba village in Harsani area. His political debut was as a Sarpanch. He is from the neighboring village of Shiv MLA Amin Khan. He was a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 2008.

Jain was the main defendant in the 2023 Barmer rape case and child abuse ^[5] and booked under the POCSO Act .^{[6] [7] [8] [9] [10]}

2023 Rape case

Jodhpur Police registered a case against nine people including former Barmer MLA Mewaram Jain. ^[11] Mewaram and his associates were accused of raping a woman and her minor daughter.^[12] The remaining 7 people were accused of supporting those two accused.^{[13] [14]}

Viral MMS Videos

Two viral social media videos show Mewaram Jain engaging in obscene acts with a woman, who herself captured the video. Jain enters the room, talks, drinks water, and indulges in the act.^{[15] [16] [17]}
