Melwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It was newly delineated for the 2010 census, at which time its population was 3,051.[2] Per the 2020 census, the population was 3,977.[3]
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Melwood has a total area of 7.3sqkm, all land.[4] The CDP is located directly to the east of Andrews Air Force Base.
Melwood first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census formed from part of Rosaryville CDPand additional area.
