Mecistocephalus porosus explained
Mecistocephalus porosus is a species of centipede in the Mecistocephalidae family. It was described in 1887 by German entomologist Erich Haase.[1] Haase described a specimen measuring 41 mm in length and deemed it to be a representative of a subspecies of M. tahitiensis. Some others have considered this centipede to be synonymous with M. tahitiensis.[2]
Distribution
The species occurs in Fiji. The type locality is Viti Levu.[1]
