Meadow Oaks is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County, Florida, United States.[3] Located north of Florida State Road 52 inland from Hudson,[4] it is within the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)[5] and the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

The community was first planned in 1983 to include homes and eponymous golf course,[6] which was later expanded.[7] [8] The clubhouse was destroyed by fire in 1995.[9] The community continued to grow into the 2000s,[10] [11] [12] partly on land that had once been a cattle ranch, to have eight 'villages'.[13]

Meadow Oaks become a CDP (43785)[14] in 2010[15] and as of the 2010 census its population was 2,442[1] It had grown to 2,842 by the 2020 census.[16]

Geography

Meadow Oaks is considered an 'inland' or 'landside' Pasco County community.[4] [17] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Meadow Oaks CDP has an area of ; of its area is land, and is water.[1] Land-use planning follows the concepts of MPUD zoning.[18] [19]

Meadow Oaks is within Florida's 12th U.S.congressional district,[20] Florida Senate 16th district, and Florida House District 37.[4]
