Matveyevsky District (Russian: Матве́евский райо́н) is an administrative[2] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1800km2.[4] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Matveyevka. Population: 12,267 (2010 Census); The population of Matveyevka accounts for 24.8% of the district's total population.
