Mathis Independent School District Explained
Mathis Independent School District is a public school district based in Mathis, Texas (USA).
Located mostly in San Patricio County,[1] small portions of the district extend into Live Oak,[2] and Bee counties.[3]
Other communities served by the district include: Edgewater Estates, Lake City, Lakeshore Gardens-Hidden Acres, Lakeside, Paisano Park, and San Patricio.[1] Previously Edgewater Estates and Paisano Park were in a single census-designated place, Edgewater-Paisano.
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[4]
