Mastophorus muris explained

Mastophorus muris is a parasitic nematode in the genus Mastophorus. It infects animals such as the marsh rice rat (Oryzomys palustris),^[1] hispid cotton rat (Sigmodon hispidus),^[2] and singing vole (Microtus miurus).^[3]
