Neeshita Nyayapati of The Times of India rated the series 2 out of 5 and wrote that "Masti’s is one of those rare shows that manage to humanise its flawed characters without glorifying them. Each of them come with their own set of problems and every single one of them get closure. But it's due to lacking emotional depth such characters warrant, the series passes muster".[2] A critic from Indiaglitz rated the series two out of five and wrote that "On the whole, the series feels like a tried and tested subject said in a very disengaging manner. But there are some positives like performance by Navdeep and masala factor".[3]
On the contrary, a critic from 123telugu rated the series 3 wrote that "Overall, Mastis is a series that depicts how relationships work in the posh urban areas. The setup, performances, production values, and emotions work quite well".[4] Srivathsan Nadadhur of Binged rated the series six out of ten and wrote that "Masti’s is the closest that the Telugu digital space has got in representing the concerns of an urban lot right".[5]
