The fifth season of MasterChef South Africa was announced on 17 January 2024 and premiered 13 July 2024 on SABC 3.[1]
Returning judges for this season include Zola Nene and Justine Drake. They will be joined by new judge Katlego Mlambo.[2] Filming took place from 29 April – 8 June 2024 in Cape Town. [3] Series Director was Geoffrey Butler.
