Mark Norris (technology writer) explained

Mark Norris is a British consultant in the field of software engineering and telecommunications,[1] noted as for his work writing on technology-related subjects.

He gained a doctorate from the University of Glasgow in 1979[2] and has since worked in Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Japan in the telecommunications industry[1] (working for some years for BT Group)[2] and in academia (holding a position of visiting professor at the University of Ulster).[1]

Norris is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (formerly known as the Institution of Electrical Engineers).[1]
