Mariia Olehivna Vysochanska (Ukrainian: Марія Олегівна Височанська; born on September 10, 2002, in Lviv) is a Ukrainian female rhythmic gymnast. She won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the 2020 European Championship.[2]
She took up rhythmic gymnastics at age four in Lviv, Ukraine because of her mother, who also used to be a rhythmic gymnast.[3]
She made a debut on international competitions at the 2017 Junior European Championships in Budapest, Hungary as a part of junior group that placed 8th in 10 Clubs final.
She competed at the 2019 World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan as a part of senior group. They placed 9th in Group All-around and 8th in 5 Ball final. She was selected to represent Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, where Mariia and her group (integrated to Anastasiya Voznyak, Yeva Meleshchuk, Daryna Duda, Mariola Bodnarchuk and Meleshchuk) took 7th place in Group All-around final.
At the Tartu Grand Prix in February 2023, she and her group won gold in the All-Around. They also competed in the Marbella Grand Prix, and in some of the FIG World Cup events (Palaio Faliro (Athens) and Baku), and in the 2023 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Baku, the Ukrainian group made up of Yelyzaveta Azza, Daryna Duda, Yeva Meleshchuk, Diana Baieva, Anastasiya Voznyak and Vysochanska were fourth in the all-around. They won silver medal in team competition together with individual gymnasts Viktoriia Onopriienko, Polina Karika and Polina Horodnycha.
