Manuel Eitel (born 28 January 1997) is a German decathlete.[1]

Career

From Baltmannsweiler, he is a member of SSV Ulm 1846.[2] [3] He was a 2016 World Athletics U20 Championships bronze medalist in the 4x100m relay in 2016 in Bydgoszcz.

He was a European Athletics U23 Championships bronze medallist in the decathlon in 2019. He had surgery on his ankle in 2020, and split his training time between Ulm and Leverkusen during 2020.[4]

He won the German Athletics Championships in the decathlon in August 2022, and set a new personal best for the decathlon in Bernhausen.[5] The following month improved it by four points to 8,193 points in Talence.[6]

He finished fourth in the pentathlon at the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul in March 2023.[7] [8] He placed eleventh in the decathlon at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest.[9]

He was selected for the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome in June 2024. Competing in the decathlon he finished inseventh place overall with a tally of 8212 points.[10] [11]
