Makombé River Explained

The Makombé River is a river in Cameroon. It joins the Nkam River near Yabassi to become the Wouri River.[1]

History

The Makombé River was encountered in the 17th century by the Bamileke tribes, who relocated to the forests from constraints of the Fulani people. The river was adjoined to a nature reserve in the 20th century, establishing the Réserve Forestière de Manya-Makombé.
