Maillane (in French pronounced as /majan/; Occitan (post 1500);: Malhana) is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in southern France in the former province of Provence.
Maillane is located 7km (04miles) north-west of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and 15km (09miles) north-east of Tarascon.
Maillane was the birthplace of the 19th century poet Frédéric Mistral (1904 Nobel Prize in literature).
