Madhumati Express (Train Number- 755/756) is a popular inter-city train of western region operated under Bangladesh Railway . The train runs from Rajshahi, the headquarters of Bangladesh Railway Western Region and a major city in North Bengal, to the capital Dhaka via Banga and Padma bridges.[1]
It was inaugurated on 15 August 2003 which at that time operated on the Rajshahi - Goland Ghat route. Which was subsequently extended from October 30, 2020, by changing the route to Banga railway station. Later on 1 December 2023 it was extended to Dhaka. It debuted as the fifth train on the Rajshahi-Dhaka route. Currently the train is plying between Rajshahi and Dhaka via Padma Bridge with "PT Inca 2016" imported from Indonesia.
