Madame DuBarry is a 1919 German silent film on the life of Madame Du Barry. It was directed by Ernst Lubitsch,[1] written by Norbert Falk and Hanns Kräly with the title role taken by Pola Negri and Louis XV played by Emil Jannings. Its alternative title for United States distribution was Passion.

It was made at the Tempelhof Studios in Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art director Kurt Richter.

Survival status

The film has been released on DVD.[2] In 2014, it was released on dual format Blu-ray and DVD as part of the Masters of Cinema series.[3]
