Maciej Iwański (born 7 May 1981) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
After Zagłębie Lubin's relegation for match-fixing, many of the top teams in the first division fought for Iwański's signature. Legia Warsaw finally completed a move in the summer 2008, and Iwański became the most expensive transfer between two Polish clubs.[1] He finished his career in 2018 at Unia Oświęcim.[2]
A former U21 international, Iwański debuted in the senior side on 6 December 2006 in a friendly game versus UAE in Abu Zabi.[3] On February 3, 2007 he scored his first international goal, versus Estonia.[3]
