MCC Boléa explained

The MCC Boléa is a Swiss single-place paraglider that was designed by Paul Amiell and produced by MCC Aviation of Grandvaux. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Boléa was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their relative size.[1]

Operational history

Reviewer Noel Bertrand described the Boléa in a 2003 review as "a very likable high performance wing".[1]

Boléa S
  • Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 10.681NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 25.55m2, 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.47:1. The pilot weight range is 60to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
    Boléa M
  • Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.131NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 27.7m2, 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.47:1. The pilot weight range is 80to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
    Boléa L
  • Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 11.571NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 29.94m2, 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.47:1. The pilot weight range is 95to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
