Lynbrook railway station is located on the Cranbourne line in Victoria, Australia, serving the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of the same name and the suburb of Lyndhurst. The station opened on 22 April 2012.[1] [2]

History

Announced as part of the Victorian Transport Plan in 2008,[3] [4] the project was re-announced in the 2010-11 state budget.[5]

On 9 October 2010, construction of the station officially commenced, when the then Minister for Public Transport, Martin Pakula, turned the first sod.[6] Completion was expected in 2011 but, due to the under-budgeting of the electricity connection to the station, the project stalled.[7] [8]

Platforms and services

Lynbrook has two side platforms. It is served by Cranbourne line trains.[9]
