Luke Clanton (born November 5, 2003) is an American amateur golfer. He rose to world number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in August 2024.[2]

Amateur career

In 2022, Clanton won the Azalea Invitational.[3] Also in 2022, he won the North and South Amateur at Pinehurst Resort.[4] [5] It was also at Pinehurst Resort where Clanton competed in the 2024 U.S. Open, finishing T-41.

In July 2024, Clanton became the first amateur since 1958 to finish in the top-10 in back-to-back PGA Tour events.[6]

Clanton plays college golf at Florida State University where he has won four events.[7]
