Louis Patrick James Partridge (born 3 June 2003) is an English actor. He is best known for his roles as Lord Tewkesbury in the Netflix films Enola Holmes (2020) and Enola Holmes 2 (2022),[1] and Sid Vicious in the miniseries Pistol (2022).

Early life

Partridge was born on 3 June 2003 in Wandsworth, London, to James and Liz Partridge. He is of Welsh descent on his mother's side.[2] He has an older sister and a younger sister.[3]

Partridge attended Dulwich Preparatory School. He played rugby with Battersea Ironsides Sports Club.[4] He then went to secondary school at Alleyn's School, where he was a member of Tyson's House. He completed his A Levels in 2021 with A's in French, English, and Film Studies.[5]

Career

Partridge made his acting debut in a 2014 short film Beneath Water.[6] Partridge also appeared as an extra in Emil and the Detectives at the National Theatre alongside other child actors Seb Sargent and Lucy Hutchinson, a rehearsal attended by Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh.[7] [8] [9] Partridge was one of the England mascots at the 2015 Rugby World Cup game against Wales, held at Twickenham Stadium.[4]

Partridge initially gained recognition as Piero de Medici in Medici and appeared in Paddington 2.[10] He rose to further prominence when he played Lord Viscount Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes alongside Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill.[11] [12] He reprised the role in the film's 2022 sequel.[13] In 2019, he joined the cast of The Lost Girls, playing the immortal boy Peter Pan.[14] [15]

In January 2021, Partridge joined the cast of FX's Pistol as the titular band's bassist Sid Vicious.[16] [17] Later that year in October, he was cast in the epic fantasy romance Ferryman.[18] Partridge then branched out to the thriller genre, joining the cast of Apple TV's Disclaimer in May 2022.[19] In February 2024, Partridge cameoed in the spy film Argylle as a young Aubrey Argylle.[20]

Personal life

Partridge has been in a relationship with American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo since late 2023.[21] He was previously in a relationship with American actress Sydney Chandler from mid-2021 to mid-2023.[22]
